Student Offerings

The Battle of the Books BSA is open to 4th and 5th grade students only. Trinity Elementary School will participate in this year’s WCS Battle of the Book District Competition. The Elementary Battle of the Books is a bracket-style tournament where teams from different schools compete. Teams of 4 students will read and answer questions about a set of pre-selected books. Trinity Elementary will compete in a school-wide competition and then the District Championship, which will be held in the Spring. The pre-selected books will be announced to all families/students that sign-up for this BSA, right before Thanksgiving Break.

This is a 1st and 2nd grade opportunity to play popular board games of all kinds! Games will be provided and taught. Students can both have fun and learn social skills like taking turns, following directions and sportsmanship. Students will be invited to bring their own games to share and play as well.

Chess BSA is open to all levels of players in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  We will meet on Thursday mornings during the Fall semester.  This is a great opportunity for the students to play and learn from each other.

Mrs. Tanner is excited to bring the world of performance color guard to TES! Flag and Dance Team is only open to students in grades 4 and 5. Through the flag and dance team, students will learn basic dance skills and the basics of spinning flags.  

Students do not require any prior skills and will be taught at basic level. The TES Mini Color Guard will participate in a few school and after school performances. *Dates for after school performances are TBD and will be sent home as soon as they are confirmed so families may plan accordingly.

The Lion King KIDS is a 30-minute musical adapted from the Broadway production and Disney’s beloved animated film. Designed specifically for young performers, it features familiar songs such as “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Hakuna Matata,” along with engaging dialogue and choreography. The story follows Simba on his journey from cub to king, highlighting themes of friendship, responsibility, and courage. This production provides elementary students with the opportunity to learn theater skills, work together as a cast, and share their talents on stage in a fun, family-friendly show.

Trinity’s 1st-2nd Grade Running Team will meet on Tuesday mornings from 7:35-8:25 AM. Our first practice will be September 9th. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes for active participation. Please bring a water bottle. We are excited and cannot wait for you to join us!

Trinity’s 3rd-5th Grade Running Team will meet on Monday mornings from 7:30am-8:25am. Our first practice will be Monday, September 8th. We will have a variety of activities for students to build stamina and not simply run around the track for an hour. We are excited and cannot wait for you to join us!

Stories & Crafts is open to 1st and 2nd graders. We will meet on Friday mornings to read stories and create a hands-on activity, craft, or or practice writing!  Students will listen to and read stories together. Students will reinforce comprehension skills such as story elements, inferencing, answering questions, summarizing, and writing about our stories. Students will also create a craft or participate in a hands-on activity that aligns with our book’s theme!
